StairCare Projects - Fugro Norway Marine - Geo Celtic Vessel

The Situation

The Geo Celtic is a 101 metre long high capacity seismic vessel, outfitted with the highest class equipment. She is the largest purpose built seismic vessel in the world and is operated by Fugro Norway Marine Services. An internal OH&S survey recommended that stairs need improved anti-slip protection.

The Solution

After initially testing SC-R150, Fugro placed an order with Staircare to supply Fibreglass reinforced SC-R150 #5 heavy duty silicon oxide anti slip grit stair tread covers. Staircare supplied SC-R150 cut to various sizes complete with stainless steel SS-316 fixings to provide slip protection and improving safety on stairs for the entire vessel.
