The StairCare Product Range - FRP Safety Hatches

SC-R 230 Stair Tread NosingStaircare SC-R in combination with industrial marine was given the brief by the safety team of Laing O'Rourke to design a scaffold access safety hatch for the groups Expanded Structures scaffolding business.

The all in one compact unit is made from Staircare SC-R FRP pultruded structural angle and mini mesh cover with heavy duty silicon oxide anti-slip grit.

The unit was successfully load tested to 250Kg.

SC-R 230 Stair Tread NosingThe scaffold access safety hatch has been site tested and has gone into production to offer a light but strong and resilient safety device to protect workers from accidently falling into access openings on scaffold platforms.
