The StairCare Product Range
- Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Features
- Corrosion and Chemical Resistance
Depending on the environment,
different resins such as isophthalic polyester, vinyl ester or phenolic
are used in the construction of grates and plates. They are suitable
for high exposure to saltwater and offer high resistance to fumes
and chemicals such as; acid, alkali, solvent liquids and petrochemical
spillage.

Resistance Test Report
- Slip Resistance
During the manufacturing process silicon
oxide is incorporated to form an inseparable gritted surface providing
excellent anti-slip performance in wet and oily environments consistently
reducing slips and falls. The silicon oxide surface has been tested
in accordance with Australian Standard AS/NZS4586:2004 - Slip Resistance
Classification of New Pedestrian Surface Material, achieving the
highest Slip Resistance Classification "V" very low risk of contributing
to slipping when wet.

- Fire Resistance
Staircare SC-R materials were
fire tested by AWTA Product Testing and the results were "Best Achievable"
for critical heat flux and smoke value in accordance with Australian
Standard AS/ISO 9239.1-2003; reaction to fire tests for floorings,
determination of the burning behaviour using a radiant heat source.

Test Report
- Non Sparking
FRP grating with plain or concave surface will not cause
sparking and are ideally suited for installations where combustible
gases may be present.
- Non Conductive & Non Magnetic
The non conductive properties
of Staircare SC-R make it ideally suited for use in electrically
hazardous locations. The non magnetic properties allow the products
to be used in sensitive areas.
- High Impact Resistance
FRP grates and gritted cover
plates resist high impact loads without permanent deformation and
will recover to its original form.
- Low Maintenance
Staircare SC-R grating
is easy to clean, the open mesh allows debris to fall through and
UV inhibitors are incorporated into the resin to reduce the effects
of the outdoors.
- Grating Colours
The majority of grating installations use
yellow, green or grey colours to either highlight (yellow) or blend
in with the environment. During manufacturing colour pigment is mixed
with the resin creating a long lasting paint finish. Staircare SC-R uses
the international RAL colour system that offers a multitude of choice
to either enhance the working environment or create visually pleasing
effects.
